A event flyer with a smiling member of staff. Are you or do you know a young person aged 16 to 25 with experience of care who’s thinking about their future? Check out this fantastic, supportive event.

It's taking place at Eldon Court Skills Academy, 2 Percy Street, Newcastle, NE1 7RZ, on Wednesday, 2 July, drop in from 3pm to 6.30pm.

This free event offers an inspiring and welcoming environment for young people with care experience – or those preparing to leave care – to explore the wide range of career options available in health and social care.

What’s on offer:

  • Explore the many different roles across health and care – it’s not just doctors and nurses!
  • Learn about current and future opportunities, including apprenticeships, training, and education routes.
  • Take part in hands-on, interactive activities using the Skills Academy’s cutting-edge facilities.
  • Meet friendly professionals who understand and value the experiences of care-experienced young people.
  • Access guidance and support to help take the next steps.

This is an exploratory event, not a recruitment day – the focus is on inspiring young people, building their confidence, and showing that there’s a place for everyone in health and care. People can secure their place via Eventbrite.
