At Northumbria, we are proud to be able to offer a range of work experience placements across our different sites. Work experience is a great way to find out about some of the 350-plus job roles available to you within the NHS. It will give you the opportunity to see first-hand what our staff do daily and the skills that are needed for these roles. Our placements are available across our large geographical patch.
Important information:
Due to the high volume of applications we have received and are trying to process we are no longer accepting any new applications for Work Experience for June or July 2024.

Applications will only be accepted if you are 13 years old and above.

We can support clinical and non-clinical placements in our hospital sites, admin bases or GP surgeries depending on your interests

Unfortunately, we cannot provide placements in the below following areas:

Paediatrics
-
Maternity, Obstetrics and Gynaecology
-
Clinical Psychology
-
A&E
-
Theatres
-
Placements can only be arranged three months in advance of the placement date commencing, subject to satisfactory occupational health clearances. Please note you will receive an appointment to attend occupational health via the email address provided on your application.
