Our Sexual Health and C-Card training is aimed at anyone who works across North Tyneside and Northumberland and is free of charge.
Training insight / learning outcomes:
Introduction to Sexual Health training course will give you a basic insight into:
➢ Services available
➢ Contraception
➢ Infections and prevention
➢ Signposting into service
Our C-Card training is for those who work with young people aged 13-24 and is looking to provide condoms, CSP testing kits and information on sexual health. Learning outcomes include:
➢ Overview of sex and the law, relating to young people and Fraser Guidelines
➢ An overview of products available via the C-card Scheme
➢ To understand the C-card programme and scheme requirements for its implementation across Northumbria
➢ Process of Chlamydia/Gonorrhoea screening programme (CSP)
➢ To know where to signpost for other sexual health services
Note: Once you have completed C-Card training there is an expectation that you will go on to set-up or continue delivering C-Card from your service/setting.

Bespoke Training
We can offer bespoke training to individual teams who struggle to attend our full training days. This training includes all of the above learning outcomes but is tailored specifically to your organisation and service users. For this, we require a minimum of 5 staff members and we will come to your venue to deliver. We advise blocking upto 4 hours for this. To discuss further please contact us using the C-Card email for your area.
