Our Options service can help if you have not planned a pregnancy and you may require support to make the right choice for yourself, whether to continue with it, consider termination or adoption.

It is wise to seek someone objective to help you see “the wood for the trees” and give you support for your decision. You want the best outcome for yourself at this particular time in your life within the circumstances that you are dealing with.

An Options appointment with our health advisers will help with this.

Sometimes it is difficult to take your sexual health issues to other counselling services such as at your GP practice. We offer a limited number of counselling appointments for those in distress who have attended the sexual health service and require some brief intervention counselling.  Call us for further information or ask about this at your consultation.

The trust also provides a counselling service at Wansbeck General Hospital as part of Women’s health/gynaecology, which may be helpful if you are not coping following a termination of pregnancy. Call 01670 564 149

There may be difficulties regarding your sexual orientation, or a complete lack of desire, problems with erections, or painful intercourse.
