Quit for Covid - Don’t smoke alone, Quit together

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a respiratory infection, which can cause life threatening complications affecting the heart as well as the lungs.

Smoking is harmful to the immune system, making smokers more vulnerable to infectious diseases. It also damages your heart and lungs, which can put you at greater risk of developing severe disease from COVID-19.

Smokers are also more likely to need treatment for other serious conditions like heart attacks, stroke, diabetes, cancer and emphysema.

Smoking of any kind, not just cigarettes, but shisha, cannabis or any other substances could increase your risks.

It’s more important now than ever to look after our health and that’s why we’re supporting #quitforcovid. If you smoke, quitting is one of the best ways to protect yourself and others and reduce your need to use the NHS. You will feel the benefits as soon as you stop.

Giving up for good can feel like a big hurdle but there are lots of ways to make it easier. Let us help you…
