‘Top hospital’ Northumbria best for safe, high quality care
Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has once again been chosen as one of the country’s best performing NHS organisations for providing safe, high quality patient care.
The trust has been named as one of the CHKS Top Hospitals for 2019 for the 12th consecutive year, a prestigious award based on an analysis of data from all hospital trusts in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Celebrating excellence, the awards recognise hospitals that are safer for patients, more effective and have lower mortality rates.
Healthcare improvement specialists CHKS evaluate more than 20 indicators which cover clinical effectiveness, health outcomes, efficiency, patient experience and quality of care and are revised annually to take into account newly-available performance information.
