Background: Peter was running his own financial services business when he had a serious stroke in 2005. He lost over 30 years of memory and the ability to read and write. He has since learned to write and is learning to read again with the help of a computer program for people with aphasia.
Areas of interest: Peter has an active interest in helping stroke patients and their families and is a volunteer with the Trust’s award-winning peer support scheme. He has also helped to produce a successful stroke recovery website which aims to help other people going through the same experience.
