Mrs Kath Atkinson
Macmillan clinical nurse specialist breast care
Kath supports breast cancer patients from diagnosis and throughout their treatment.
She sees patients in oncology clinics to support them throughout adjuvant and palliative treatments.
Kath started as a breast support nurse in 1999 before becoming clinical nurse specialist in 2001. She supports patients both in surgical clinics and oncology clinics., including patients living with cancer.
She is involved with patient educational events including patient self-supportive management.
Her specialist qualifications include a degree in health practice, good clinical practice training, psychology and advanced communications (MSCC) metastatic spinal cord compression.
