Here’s just some of the things you can chat to us about:
- Healthy weight
Eating well and staying physically active is really important for both our physical and mental wellbeing. Maintaining a healthy weight can reduce the risk of many health problems.
- Feeling down, stressed, or lonely
There are many reasons you could be experiencing low mental wellbeing, feeling like this over a long period of time can impact on your physical and mental health so it’s important to talk.
- Sexual Health
Looking after your sexual health plays a big part in physical health as well as emotional and social wellbeing.
- Alcohol
Alcohol intake should be less than 14 units a week to be ‘low-risk’ unless you are pregnant where there is no safe limit. Reducing alcohol consumption can reduce health risks as well as have a positive impact on relationships and work.
- Money worries
Managing finances can be difficult for all of us at any time and can have an impact on our emotional wellbeing. We can provide confidential advice and signpost you to services that can help.
- Relationships
Feeling safe around others benefits our physical and emotional wellbeing. Connecting with the people around us is a great way to remind ourselves that we’re important and valued by others. If you’re experiencing issues with this we can support you.
- Housing
Healthy homes promote good physical and mental health. Having a home that is safe, affordable and free from physical hazards is really important for you and your family.
- Getting out and about
Spending time outside your home and doing things you enjoy is not only great for your physical health and fitness but it can also give your mental wellbeing a boost.
- Moving more
Moving more in everyday life is an important part of looking after your health and staying happy. There are many ways to do this and we can chat about the ways that will work for you and your lifestyle.
- Smoking/e-cigarettes
There are immediate and long-term health benefits from stopping smoking for all smokers. Finding out about local stop smoking services available and the support that’s right for you can boost your chance of quitting.
