We offer equipment and home care options to help you stay independent and live at home.
Equipment can make everyday tasks a bit easier. Many useful items are relatively low cost such as tap turners, talking watches, grab rails, and long handled sponges. Many of these are available to buy from chemists or large department stores, over the internet or from some voluntary agencies. These types of items can help you stay independent and do things for yourself.
If you think you may need more complicated equipment, or adaptations to your home we can arrange an appointment with one of our occupational therapists. If you need equipment for your health, safety or dignity, it will be provided free of charge. Visit this link for more information
Home Improvement Service – if you are struggling with accessing your house, bathing or climbing the stairs, adaptations may help. You can hire or buy equipment privately e.g. stairlifts, wheelchair ramp etc, or you may be eligible for partial or full financial help through the Disabled Facilities Grant.
