People in south east Northumberland and North Tyneside are being given the opportunity to have a say on local healthcare services.
Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is holding elections for residents to become public governors of the organisation with vacancies in Wansbeck, Blyth Valley, North West Tyneside and Wallsend.
Residents have until 5pm on Tuesday 26 April to submit a nomination via Electoral Reform Service on 0208 889 9203.
The role of a public governor is to represent the views of local people and help build links between Northumbria Healthcare and the many communities it serves.
People must be a member of the trust before they can put themselves forward as a candidate to become a public governor. Becoming a member is straightforward, open to everybody living in Northumberland and North Tyneside, and can be done by completing an application form here
or calling 0191 203 1296.
There is one vacancy in the Wansbeck area, two in Blyth Valley, one in North West Tyneside, covering Benton, Camperdown, Dudley, Forest Hall, Hazlerigg, Holystone, Killingworth, Longbenton, Seaton Burn and Wideopen, and one in Wallsend.

Northumbria Healthcare covers one of the largest geographical areas in the country and provides hospital and community services in North Tyneside and hospital, community and adult social care services in Northumberland.
All members of the public living in Northumberland and North Tyneside are able to join Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as a member.
Membership is FREE and open to anyone aged 12 or over and you can be involved as much or as little as you want.
