Have your say on health services at roadshows

People across Northumberland and North Tyneside are being encouraged to have their say on local health services at roadshows across the area starting next week.
From Monday 21 September until Friday 2 October, Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is visiting communities to find out people’s views about hospital and community health services, and adult social care in Northumberland.
The trust, alongside health and social care partners, will be seeking to find out residents’ recent experiences of these and their thoughts about how they could be made even better.
People will be able to give their views about any aspect of hospital and community care, and adult social care in Northumberland, including the new model of emergency care which was introduced in Northumberland and North Tyneside in June.
Claire Riley, director of communications and corporate affairs at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, said: “In order for us to continually improve the care we provide to our patients in hospitals and in the community across Northumberland and North Tyneside, we’re very keen to find out what people think about the services we provide.
“The roadshows are part of our rolling programme of listening to our patients, service users and their relatives and carers and acting on their feedback and are an excellent opportunity for people to have their say.
“We would encourage everyone to come along and see us, and our health and social care partners, and give their views so we can provide even better care to our patients.”
At the roadshows, residents in Northumberland will also be able to find out more about proposals to pioneer new models of care shaped around patient needs as part of the county being named a ‘vanguard’ site by NHS England.
