Funds were recently allocated to the A&E department at North Tyneside General Hospital to purchase 5 red wheelchairs. These brightly coloured wheelchairs are easily identified and save porters and ambulance personnel valuable time when looking for them, helping patients to have a prompt service and alleviating any undue stress.
