New art exhibition at North Tyneside hospital
A new colourful art exhibition has gone on display at North Tyneside hospital in the corridor towards Wards 12-18, 22, 23, 24 and the oncology day unit.
The exhibition features colourful abstract art and images of animals, including much-loved pets.
The artwork has been made by women who live in North Tyneside and attend art sessions provided by Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust. Most of the women have had no art training since leaving school.
The art sessions encourage people to explore their own ideas using a range of materials and techniques. They are held in community venues in North Tyneside and provide an opportunity for people to meet others living in their area who share a similar interest.
