Good luck to Paul Yellop and friends as they set off on their 100 mile fundraising challenge for diabetes
Paul Yellop and a group of friends have embarked on a three-day 100-mile triathlon to raise funds for the diabetes clinic at North Tyneside General Hospital.
Starting from Coldstream in the Scottish Borders, the challenge will include a 70-mile bike ride, 10-mile run and 20-mile walk – finishing at Chirton Social Club, North Shields, on Saturday 31 May where there will be a fundraising night to boost their funds. Tickets for the event, between 7pm and 11.30pm, cost £1.50
The group, who are all members of Chirton Social Club, chose to raise funds in memory of Paul’s son Lee, who attended the clinic in 2010.
