Captain Tom 100 Challenge

Thursday, 29 April, 2021

30 April to 3 May

Friday 30th April 2021 would have been Captain Sir Tom’s 101st birthday and the anniversary of the extraordinary celebrations that followed his famous 100 laps of his garden that raised an incredible £38.9 million for the NHS.

His simple message of hope – “Tomorrow will be a good day” inspired millions around the world.

Now Captain Sir Tom’s family are inviting everyone to celebrate his life with an event to celebrate his generosity of spirit, the hope and joy he brought to millions, and his sense of fun.

How to get involved and support Bright Northumbria

Dream up your 100 challenge – whether it’s doing 100 laps round your garden, baking 100 biscuits, swimming 100 lengths, dancing for 100 minutes, reading 100 pages of your favourite book – it’s time to get involved!

Take on your challenge any time between Friday 30 April and Monday 3 May.
