The NHS Big Tea: Let’s raise a cuppa!
We all love a slice of cake on our birthdays and beginning on 5th July and throughout the month, people from across the nation will be getting together to raise a cup of tea to celebrate the birth of our beloved NHS and raise funds to support the vital work of its charities.
Across North Tyneside and Northumberland, people will be gathering their friends and families together to organise a tea party to mark this special occasion and raise funds for Northumbria Healthcare’s Bright charity.
Brenda Longstaff, head of the Bright charity, said: “I’m really excited about this fantastic opportunity to celebrate our NHS and I do love a good cup of tea!
“Bright funds a variety of projects and equipment which all have the same aim – to provide the extras which help us to ensure our patients have the best experience possible, in a welcoming and friendly environment. We are incredibly grateful to our local communities for their support.
“If you would like to celebrate our NHS and make a difference to our patients, please contact us to find out more about getting involved and organising your own NHS Big Tea party.
“What a great excuse for a slice of cake and a get together!”
