Fancy joining the trust with the best staff morale in the country? Come along and meet the Northumbria team…
We’re encouraging nurses, midwives and operating department practitioners (ODPs) to come and meet our team at an event on Saturday 21 September.
Matrons and members of our nursing, midwifery and theatre team will be on hand in the seminar room at The Northumbria hospital from 9am to 11am to talk to people about career opportunities across Northumberland and North Tyneside.
We received the highest score of acute trusts for staff morale in the national NHS staff survey published earlier this year and, overall, had one of the strongest performances with employees feeling listened to, highly motivated and engaged with their work.
One of England’s top performing trusts, we have nursing and midwifery roles available in hospitals and in the community and, in particular, are looking to recruit people to work in elderly care, operating theatres and community and district nursing.
If you are interested in attending the event, please click here to register or turn up on the day.
We have roles in the following areas:
- Acute medicine all specialties
- CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health)
- Community and district nursing
- Critical care
- Elderly medicine and rehabilitation
- Theatre, recovery and anaesthetics
For those people wanting to pursue working at The Northumbria hospital, people will have the opportunity to have a look around at the event and set up a visit if interested in joining one of the many teams at one of the trust’s general or community hospitals or in the community.
Elaine Henderson, director of nursing delivery at Northumbria Healthcare, said: “With our staff morale the best in the country, now is a great time to join our trust and we’d encourage registered nurses, midwives and ODPs to come and meet our team and learn more about what we offer.
“We’ll have a range of staff on hand – from matrons to newly-qualified – to chat to people about what it’s like to work at Northumbria and the support we give to nurses, midwives and ODPs to develop with us.
“Our Northumbria hospital has some of best facilities in the north east and on the day people will have to chance to have a look around a particular ward or department and get a feel for what it would be like to work there. Equally, if people are interested in working elsewhere in our trust, we’d be more than happy to arrange a visit for you.
“We look forward to welcoming registered nurses, midwives and operating department practitioners at any stage of our career to Northumbria hospital on 21 September.”
All Northumbria nurses, midwives and ODPs are fully supported with newly-qualified staff benefitting from one of the most extensive ‘preceptorship’ programmes in the NHS during the first year.
