Morpeth Cottage Hospital
General information
Morpeth Cottage Hospital is situated, off the A1, on the approach road into the historic town of Morpeth. It is a community hospital which provides specialist rehabilitation care for older people.
There is an outpatients department with an x-ray facility and arange of clinics are held for conditions including orthopaedics, dermatology, rheumatology and cardiology.
There are 30 beds situated in the Whalton Unit which is in the grounds of the hospital, with care focused on elderly rehabilitation and palliative care. Occupational therapists and physiotherapists work in the unit.

By road:
From the A1 South: Take the first exit for Morpeth.continue along A197 for 1.5 miles with the hospital on your right.
From the A1 North: Take the first exit for Morpeth continue along A192. Turn left at roundabout, continue along the A192. Turn right at roundabout, continue along the A192, Turn right at roundabout continue for 0.5 miles with the hospital on your left.

Charges
Car parking is available and costs £1.20p per hour, up to a maximum of £4 per day.
As it is pay and display, please make sure that you bring change with you and leave plenty of time to find a space.
Disabled parking
There are designated free parking bays reserved for registered disabled drivers displaying a valid blue badge permit.
Concessionary car parking
We offer free car parking in a number of cases for patients or their visitors. This includes those receiving treatment for cancer while patients attending regularly over an extended period and visitors of long-stay patients may also be exempt. Please speak to the ward manager about this.
Parking penalty fees
Cars not parked in an authorised bay or parked without a ticket or permit may be issued a fixed penalty parking fine and can be charged to a maximum of £30.
