Our wheelchair and specialised seating service supplies wheelchairs and associated equipment free of charge to North Tyneside residents who have long-term mobility problems due to illness, disability or getting older.

This includes manual and powered wheelchairs any associated special seating, pressure relieving cushions, accessories and modifications. The service provides and maintains this equipment.

Your care

If you need this services you will be referred by a healthcare professional such as your GP or hospital consultant. Your needs will be assessed following which equipment will be provided based on your clinical need.
