Our children’s speech and language therapy service supports children and young people up to 18 years old. We can help with a variety of problems including:

• Feeding and swallowing difficulties
• Mild, moderate or severe learning difficulties
• Physical disabilities
• Language delay
• Specific language impairment
• Specific difficulties in producing sounds
• Cleft palate
• Autism/social interaction difficulties
• Voice disorders 

We also have special services to help if your child has a stammer. Our speech and language therapy team can help them to increase their confidence in speaking, help with their fluency and also give you targeted help on specific speaking situations which they may struggle with.

We deliver the speech and language therapy service in clinics, children’s centres, schools, special schools and at home.

Our service is delivered in a number of ways by speech and language therapists, assistant speech and language therapists, by assistants in schools and also through our home programmes.
