Benefits
As a member you will:
- Help improve patient care by giving us your views.
- Receive regular updates on what is happening in our Trust through e-bulletins, this website and newsletters.
- Learn more about healthcare services and developments through exclusive member seminars and events.
- Attend meetings of our Governors' Body - general meetings are held 4 times a year in April, July (AGM), October and January. Please see opposite for dates.
- Exchange views and network with other members.
- Vote for representatives, or stand to be elected yourself, to our Governors' Body
Anyone who either lives in North Tyneside or Northumberland, has been a patient with us or is a member of staff can become a member.

Member involvement
We recognise some people will want to be more involved than others so we have created three different options for member involvement:
Volunteer member
If you would like to donate some of your time there are a number of ways you can get involved. You could help us in our charity fundraising. You could also become a member volunteer. For more information visit our Volunteering page. It’s really simple to join - you just have to fill in a couple of simple online forms – one to become a member and one to apply to be a volunteer.
Contributor
If you would like to give us your thoughts and ideas but do not have a great deal of time to spare, this level of involvement may suit you.
Supporter
If you are interested in learning more about your local health services and would like to attend local seminars, any public events we’re holding or governor meetings.
